
We are the home of the 17th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Sgt. 1st Class Christopher R. Brevard Noncommissioned Officer Academy, and the U.S. Army Northern Warfare Training Center.

1-25th SBCT is an infantry-centric organization, providing the army with a lethal, deployable, survivable and mobile option formed around the ten variants of our trademark Stryker vehicle. The Stryker Brigade fills the operational gaps between the Army's light forces and the heavy forces still fielded with Abrams tanks and Bradley fighting Vehicles, and is a key component of Army transformation.

The 4th Brigade Combat team (Airborne), 25th Infantry division is an airborne infantry brigade combat team of the United States Army. The unit is home-stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska near Anchorage and is the only airborne brigade combat team in the Pacific Theater.

The 1-25th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion is home of all AH-64 Apache Helicopters in Alaska. The Arctic Attack team supports the Ground Commander with timely, efficient and deadly Aviation Support on the battlefield.

The 1-52D General Support Aviation Battalion is home of the UH-60 Blackhawks, CH-47 Chinooks, and UH-60 Medevac Support. We provide professional quick-response support to ground commanders for medical and logistical missions. Flying Dragons! Forged in Fire!

Army Field Support Battalion

MEDDAC–AK provides medical support over 585,000 square miles with split operations between Fort Wainwright, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and Fort Greely, with additional support to the people at Eielson Air Force Base and Clear Air Force Base.

DENTAC–AK provides dental support to Fort Wainwright, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and Fort Greely.

The Wainwright Resident Office, 311th Military Intelligence Battalion, 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, conducts counterintelligence investigations, operations, collection and analysis to detect, exploit and neutralize foreign intelligence entities, international terrorism and insider threats to U.S. Army forces, technologies, information and infrastructure throughout the interior of Alaska, to include Fort Wainwright and Fort Greely. On order, the Wainwright Resident Office provides tailored CI support to overseas contingency operations.

Constituted on 7 January, 1944 as the 236th Army Band, it was later redesignated on 17 May, 1947 as the 9th Army Band. It was assigned to Fort Richardson, Alaska in 1951, inactivated on 1 September at Ladd Air Force Base, Alaska, and then re-activated on 16 November, 1995 at Fort Wainwright.
On 13 October, 2016, the 9th Army Band was moved to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
